The Australian Organics Recycling Association (AORA) works on behalf of its members to raise awareness of the benefits of recycling organic resources.

It aims to act as an advocate for the wider organics resource recovery and beneficial reuse industries, and to represent their views in a constructive dialogue with policy makers. The Association envisages an industry in which best practice is shared, standards are maintained and surpassed, and a positive contribution to safeguarding the environment is made.

The Griffith Environmental Biogeochemistry Research Laboratory (GEBRL) is based at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia and is home to researchers and students with a diverse range of interests and backgrounds. Led by Professor Chengrong Chen, GEBRL’s major research goals are to gain insights into how environmental changes alter the interactive cycles of carbon (C), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S) and other elements, how altered biogeochemical cycles affect ecosystem diversity, function, stability and services, and how land management and rehabilitation practices can improve or restore the function and productivity of ecosystems contaminated with organic and inorganic wastes.

The Keep Australia Beautiful Network (KAB), consisting of an independent federation network in each State and Territory, is a national organisation that is recognised as Australia’s independent litter prevention thought and practice leader, for a litter free and sustainable Australia.

Established by Dame Phyllis Frost in 1968, KAB has almost 50 years of experience in engaging Australians to care for their local environments, KAB Programs include, Tidy Towns, Clean Beaches, Sustainable Cities, National Litter Index, Eco-Schools, Adopt a Patch, and Keep Australia Beautiful Week in August.
